Fellow Polish-Americans:

The presidential election of 2016 is very significant to our future. Consider the important facts below before you cast your ballot.  Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State and the nominee of the Democratic Party,  and her staff expressed their opinion on numerous occasions about Catholicism and these opinions must be taken into account in making a decision whether to vote for her or not.  Catholicism is at the heart of what it means to be Polish from the beginning of Polish history both on the banks of the Vistula river as well as on the banks of Hudson, Mississippi and Ohio rivers.

On this issue, Secretary Clinton's views are in opposition to the Catholic Church.  She is a strong supporter of abortion and late term partial birth abortion - that is the direct taking of innocent human life as well as government funding of these procedures through grants to the Planned Parenthood and other organizations.  She also supports the Obamacare legal requirements that force Catholic organizations, like Little Sisters of the Poor, to include such provisions in their health care programs.

The recent Wikileaks revelations also point to the organization by her staff of liberal, subversive non-profits, falsely identified as Catholic,  to undermine the authority of Catholic bishops and their teachings on abortion and same sex marriage.

Clinton's VP pick, Tim Kaine, a Catholic?” Bishop Thomas J. Tobin of Providence noted that Kaine “has been widely identified as a Roman Catholic” while at the same time “he publicly supports ‘freedom of choice’ for abortion, same-gender marriage, gay adoptions, and the ordination of women as priests.” “All of these positions are clearly contrary to well-established Catholic teachings; all of them have been opposed by Pope Francis as well.” Considering this is an election year, the U.S. Catholic bishops have been unusually vocal in their criticism of Tim Kaine’s claims to being a faithful Catholic, citing his open dissent from essential moral teachings of the Church. Tim Kaine is  “inventing the content of his faith” and pushing positions “contrary to well-established Catholic teachings.”

"It is incorrect to say that the coming election poses a choice between two evils. For ethical and aesthetic reasons, there may be some bad in certain candidates, but badness consists in doing bad things. Evil is different: it is the deliberate destruction of truth, virtue and holiness. "

"At one party’s [Democratic Party] convention,  the name of God was excluded from its platform and a woman who boasted of having aborted her child was applauded. It is a grave sin, requiring sacramental confession and penance, to become an accomplice in objective evil by voting for anyone who encourages it, for that imperils the nation and destroys the soul."

"While one may pragmatically vote for a flawed candidate, one may not vote for anyone who advocates and enables unmitigatedly evil acts, and that includes abortion. “In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to ‘take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law, or vote for it'” (Evangelium Vitae, 73).  Father George W. Rutler, pastor of the Church of St. Michael in New York City.

“Just as living a Christian life involves much more than going to church on Sunday, so responsible citizenship requires more than simply voting on Election Day. More and more, government agencies are attempting to punish individuals and institutions that adhere to the truth that marriage can only be between a man and a woman and that every child deserves a mother and a father.” — Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas

"look at how each party platform supports human life from conception through natural death, the freedom of religion and the freedom of conscience, the family and the poor. Finally, do vote, as every Catholic has an obligation to participate in the political process.”  —Archbishop Samuel Aquila of Denver

“When we vote, our choices must never be reduced to a mere calculation of self-interest. Each of us has a moral obligation to work toward the common good. Our vote should always be cast in favor of what is best for society.” — Bishop Edward Weisenburger of Salina, Kansas

Bishop William Murphy has three questions for Catholics on Election Day:
"1. Do you think our country is going in the right direction or the wrong direction? I believe it is heading in the wrong direction. If I am right, then,
2. Of the two candidates running for president, and of all of the candidates running for elective office, whether federal, state or local, which ones will continue to lead us in the current direction or which are more likely to restore justice in those areas that cry out for such a restoration?
3. Which ones are willing to lead us in a direction that is more pro life, more pro family and more pro truth? Which ones will recognize and respect the role of religion in the lives of citizens and the Church’s right to mediate the truths of the Gospel and the Church’s teaching as part of the public life of our country, in public ministries like health care, education and charitable works, without being forced to adopt and facilitate those cultural practices that are not consonant with Church teaching?" '

Clinton’s virulent anti-Catholicism was laid bare in the recent release of emails involving key Clinton Campaign officials. These officials discussed how to sow the “seeds of revolution” to bring about a “Catholic Spring” that would change the Catholic doctrine on abortion, homosexuality, and other issues. This strategy of subversion mirrors that which the Communists employed in Poland (and elsewhere) in their attempts to destroy the Roman Catholic Church. Clinton not only has failed to fire John Podesta or Jennifer Palmieri. She didn’t even distance herself from them. Neither Clinton, nor anyone in her campaign, has issued even a word of apology. As Cardinal Dolan correctly stated, “If it had been said about the Jewish community, if it had been said about the Islamic community, within 10 minutes there would have been an apology and a complete distancing from those remarks.” In other words, Hillary believes that trying to subvert the Church (the Bride of Christ) is nothing to ashamed of.

Polish language article in U.S. based "Nowy Dziennik" - Donald Trump to Polish Americans "You will not be disappointed"
http://www.dziennik.com/publicystyka/artykul/donald-trump-do-polakow-nie-zawiedziecie-sie

Polish Americans and the Presidential Election: Defending the Heart of Our Community

Polish Americans, as do all Americans, face a difficult choice in this year’s presidential election.  Both the  leading candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump both are viewed negatively by a majority of Americans.  While third party candidates may seem more appealing, a third party candidate has never won a U.S. Presidential election.  Therefore, the choice is between “The Donald“ and Hillary.  Period.   In this situation, rather than “vote the person,” we forced to look more closely than usual at the issues they champion.  This analysis shows that Polish Americans who care about our community cannot vote for Clinton because she is vehemently anti-Catholic.

Neither the good Cardinal, nor we, should be surprised.  Podesta’s and Palmieri’s plotting is the logical conclusion of Hillary’s own views.  In April 2015, she proclaimed loudly in a radically pro-abortion address at the Women’s World Summit in New York that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”  Ever an activist, Clinton is striving through surrogates to radically change the religious beliefs of  the Catholic Church regardless of the U.S. Constitution’s guarantee of  religious freedom or what Catholics themselves might want.

Nowhere is Hillary’s anti-Catholic social Bolshevism clearer than on abortion.  Hillary is a radical advocate of what St. John Paul the Great aptly called the “culture of death.“   Both recently canonized Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) and Pope Francis are in full agreement with our saintly Polish Pope: abortion is a great evil that cannot be supported.  In contrast, Clinton almost seems to see abortion as a positive good.  She fully backs  using our tax money to fund Planned Parenthood.  Clinton supports unlimited late-term partial birth abortions, as contrasted with Trump in the last debate.

Make no mistake, Hillary will grant no quarter to the Catholic Church.  Neither she nor Barack Obama have ever done so to those they see as their enemies.  Her radicalism is demonstrated in her energetic opposition to even the compromise Hyde Amendment, which limits the use of tax money to fund abortions.  As President, Clinton would all but certainly reach for stronger “enticements” and move to eliminate the tax exempt status of the Catholic Church by accusing it of undertaking “political” activity (defending the unborn and traditional marriage).  President Hillary would very likely follow the lead of radical Houston Mayor Annise Parker, who wanted to prosecute pastors who opposed homosexuality in their sermons for “hate crimes.”  While Parker relented under public pressure, Clinton would be unlikely to do so as she would all but certainly be a one-term President.

Hillary’s onslaught against the Catholic Church as President will strike directly at the heart of the Polish American community: our parishes.  No other part of our community can compare to our parishes.  They are the organizational axis that the religious, cultural, educational, social and political life of Polish American community revolves around.  Anything that threatens our parishes, threatens the existence of our community.  This is a non-negotiable item.  Simply put, our parishes (be that Roman Catholic or Polish National Catholic) are our Westerplatte from which we cannot retreat.

The only way to keep our parishes and church safe from persecution is to defeat Hillary Clinton.  The only candidate who can do that is Donald Trump.   Boorish braggart he may be, he also just happens to be the only candidate who has repeatedly promised to protect religious liberty and ,by analogy, the heart of the Polish American community--our parishes.

Trump on Poland and Polish Americans.

Donald Trump, Republican candidate for the President of the United States, spoke to the Polish-American Congress,  representatives of 10 million Polish Americans, on 28 September in Chicago.
Mr. Trump's powerful speech focused on the security of Poland. He said:

"I pledge to you that the Trump administration will be a true, true friend to Poland and to all Polish Americans"

"As president, I will honor Poland's sacrifices for freedom.
We're committed to a strong Poland, very committed, totally committed, and a strong Eastern Europe, as a bulwark for security and liberty. "

Regarding the security of Europe, Trump stated that:
"Poland is  one of only five NATO nations, countries, that's actually paying two percent of GDP to provide for their defense." Trump stressed that "we want NATO to be strong, which means we want more countries to follow the example of Poland."

He added that "if every country in NATO made the same contributions as Poland, all of our allies would be more secure and people would feel better even better about NATO."

He promised that," we'll work with Poland on strengthening NATO when I am President. We will strengthen NATO"

Implying the damage of Yalta, Reset, and other appeasement policies that sacrificed Poland to Russia, he added    "and I will tell you, I will never let you down."

Trump praised the Polish Government for sensible policies with regard to refugees from the Middle East. He noted that the Polish Government does not look at the "refugee issue" in a vacuum but sees it from the perspective of an uncontrolled deluge of refugees to Europe  and of terror attacks.

Trump criticized Hillary Clinton because she "wants to bring in refugees from Syria at a rate of 550% more than Obama who's bringing them in by the thousands and thousands and thousands." Trump added that while
"campaigning for his wife, Bill Clinton attacked Poland, saying, "Democracy is too much trouble," which was an interesting statement, wasn't it? Democracy is too much trouble. And -- for Poland, apparently, because he -- he disagreed with Poland's opposition to bringing in refugees. And yet his wife wants to bring in refuges from Syria at a rate of 550 percent more than Obama, who's bringing them in the by thousands and thousands and thousands. "

"So the -- Bill Clinton made that statement. And he talked about -- for Poland. And all of the time, I'm talking about, we can't allow people to come into this country from other parts of the world that we don't know who they are, where they come from, what their intentions are, and all you have to do is take a look at what happened, whether it's in New York or whether it's in San Bernardino or whether it's in Orlando or, frankly, you can go outside of the country very nicely, also. Paris and Nice, and all of the different places. Germany, look what's happening in Germany. It's a disaster. And yet Bill Clinton will make a horrible statement or like that, concerning Poland."

It is worth mentioning that Poland has over 500 years of democratic experience, more than any nation in Europe.
In the last two years, Poland accepted over a million Ukrainian refugees and migrants, due to the  Russian supported conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Donald Trump also promised to adopt the Visa Waiver Program for Poland that would allow Polish tourists to travel visa-free to the US, the same as other European Union members.

In a remarks preceding Donald Trump's speech, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani assured Polish American leaders that the Trump Administration will practice "peace through strength" by using a tough, President Reagan-style type of negotiations.

Rudy Giuliani criticized Hilary Clinton, the former     Secretary of State, for incompetent and weak foreign policy, for abandoning missile defense project in Poland and the Czech Republic, and for faulty reset policy toward Russia.

Giuliani stated "you can be sure when Donald Trump will be elected as President of the U.S.,  Poland will have, once again, a totally reliable ally in the USA."
